At our June convening on Wednesday, the 28th, 4-5 pm, our guest will be Patricia Jimenez-Latham, Ed.D – “Martinez/Yazzie vs. the State of New Mexico: Five Years Later”
On July 18th it will be 5 years since Judge Singleton ruled that the State of New Mexico has violated our NM State Constitution to provide a sufficient education for New Mexico Students (Native American students, English learners, Students with Disabilities and Students At-risk). This session will provide a history of the lawsuit, where we are now and how you can become an advocate moving forward. Your voice matters!

Our guest speaker this month will be Dr. Soña A. Saiz, who led the research team from SEL4NM in investigating Wellness Spaces in New Mexico schools. She will share a peek into what is happening state wide. A longer presentation is scheduled nationwide on SELDAY.
We will be honored to have as our guest speaker, Abena McNeely, who will share with us a part of her remarkable journey and the work she is doing in our state with equity and cultural relevancy. Anyone is welcome to join us so please share with your network.
